|WORDS OF SUPPORT|
Albuquerque has never had a tour service as unique as ABQ Trolley Co. In fact, Albuquerque has not had a city tour company offering daily city tours in nearly a decade. Here are some very kind words of support for ABQ Trolley Co. from some of Albuquerque's leading tourism and hospitality industry professionals:
"As a local company that depends on tourism to boost our business, we would fully support the ABQ Trolley Co...Our customers get the best views from the sky and if we could recommend they hop on [a trolley] at some point during their trip, they could get all those views from the ground."
-W. Scott Appelman, Rainbow Ryders Hot Air Balloon Company
"As a manager, it is my pleasure to talk to guests and welcome them into my restaurant. It is all too common to hear 'what is there to do here?' It would be a great pleasure to recommend a trolley tour of our city...Albuquerque is unique and everyone should be able to see her beauty from the seat of a trolley."
-Matthew Aske, Manager, Romano's Macaroni Grill
"Albuquerque's lack of a city tour causes visitors to miss out on its many nationally ranked attractions...Not only do visitors miss out on many great attractions, but Albuquerque misses out on the opportunity to motivate these visitors to return."
-Eddie Dry, Founder/Director of Tourism Management Program (Retired), Anderson Schools of Management (UNM)
"I can say that a product like ABQ Trolley Co. would offer a great service to our hotel guests and convention attendees...There is a need for this product as it creates a sense of adventure and gives our guests a way to enjoy the beautiful Albuquerque setting."
-Karl Holme, Former General Manager, Hyatt Regency Albuquerque
"For the success of the Albuquerque tourism industry, this type of service is not only a public convenience, it's a necessity...We enthusiastically welcome this new service [ABQ Trolley Co.] to our area."
-Dale Lockett, President/CEO, Albuquerque Convention & Visitors Bureau
"Albuquerque requires more forms of awareness for tourists if we intend to further grow economically. This effort by [ABQ Trolley Co.] is one way we can achieve that growth."
-Brian Morris, Executive Director, Downtown Action Team
"The tour service that [ABQ Trolley Co.] is introducing to the city is very important to the future tourism climate of Albuquerque...The absence of a city tour company is very unfortunate for Albuquerque; ultimately limiting our tourism potential."
-Deborah Owen, Director of Communications, Sandia Peak Ski & Tramway
"Because I'm constantly on the lookout for the newest trends, stores, and businesses, I know that the service of a unique, creative tour company such as ABQ Trolley Co. would be very welcome...As a magazine, we wholeheartedly support ABQ Trolley Co. and welcome the company to the city with open arms."
-Lexi Petronis, Editor-In-Chief, Albuquerque The Magazine
"I know that having a service that provides tours...will be used and appreciated by many of our guests. Albuquerque is lacking a consistent product of this type currently...The visitors will have a better experience in Albuquerque and their positive experience will translate into word of mouth advertising that will grow our industry."
-Rebecca Plutino, General Manager, Best Western Rio Grande Inn
"Although Albuquerque and New Mexico are continuously rated as one of the top family and travel destinations, we are clearly missing one very important key element...a company that offers daily city tours of Albuquerque...Our hotels are asked on a daily basis if there are scheduled tours available....we can only recommend taxi service or rental cars. Most people...would prefer to take a professionally guided tour and enjoy the city they are visiting."
-Ed Pulsifer, Vice President of Sales & Marketing, Heritage Hotels & Resorts
