The tour starts/ends at the center of Albuquerque touism, Historic Old Town. More specifically, guests board our trolley curbside outside the La Placita Restaurant (east of the plaza gazebo, adjacent to the portal vendors). I'm trying to buy tickets online but there are no tour times listed. If you see an empty box on our buy tickets page, it is because we are closed that day. ABQ Trolley Co. will be closed Mondays (except Monday, April 1st and the Monday during and immediately after Balloon Fiesta) and on the following 2013 dates: May 25, June 6 - 9, June 19, August 3 - 6, September 14, October 16 - 17, October 20. How do I get to Old Town? Please see our section titled Directions. There are many transportation options. How can I purchase tickets? We highly recommend purchasing tickets online in advance to guarantee your seat. If you are unable to purchase tickets online in advance, you can get your tickets on board the Trolley while we are boarding curbside. The Trolley arrives about 20-30 minutes prior to each tour to sell any remaining tickets. When you have your ticket in hand, grab a seat on the Trolley or feel free to browse through Old Town. Tickets are also available at Old Town Emporium (204 San Felipe St. - southeast corner of the Old Town Plaza). I bought tickets on Groupon.com or LivingSocial.com. How do I make reservations? . Please provide the following: your name, email address, number of vouchers purchased and requested tour date/time. We will then issue you a ticket via the email address you provide. You must also provide your Groupon or Living Social certificate when boarding the Trolley. We recommend checking in at least 15 minutes early on board the Trolley to make sure you get seats together. If you do not want to make reservations in advance, please keep in mind that tickets are sold on a first come, first served basis. Are tickets refundable? No. Tickets are, however, transferrable. If for some reason you are unable to make your tour time, your ticket will be valid for up to 48 hours from original tour time. For example, if you purchased tickets for a Tuesday tour at 11am, you would be able to use the ticket for any tour up to 11am on Thursday (48 hours). Please see our General Information & Policies section for more details. Is there a minimum amount of passengers for the "Best of ABQ" City Tour? Yes. We require a minimum of 8 riders for our Best of ABQ city tour. Is there assigned seating on the trolley? No. Tickets are sold as "general admission." With that in mind, you might want to arrive a little early to grab a seat of your choice. We do, however, have cones that can be used to save seats. How soon should I arrive to make sure that I get a seat on the trolley? We recommend purchasing your tickets online to avoid any chance of not getting on board our Trolley. But, if you are purchasing tickets in person, please arrive about 30 minutes in advance. Remember, you are in the center of Albuquerque's tourism corridor, Old Town, there are a wealth of shopping and dining opportunities everywhere you look! Our Trolley also provides a unique backdrop for photos; the best photos are usually taken standing beside the custom mosaic art pieces found on both sides of the Trolley. Are there any stops on the tour? No, there are no stops on the tour. We do not offer a "hop-on, hop-off" tour. Our tours are 76-minutes from start to finish. We do not have the trolley capacity to offer a "hop-on, hop-off" tour. The Trolley does, however, make a short stop at two unique homes of interest on the tour - passengers are not allowed to exit the Trolley at these stops. We take you on an 18-mile comprehensive tour of the best that Albuquerque has to offer. We then encourage you to go back to the locales that interest you. Is the guide separate from the driver? Our drivers do not double as tour guides; each tour has a driver and a Burqueño guide. How fast does the Trolley go? Our Best of ABQ city tour is a sightseeing tour. The average speed that our Trolley drives is about 25mph. Will I be able to take photographs from the Trolley? Yes! We encourage our riders to take plenty of photos along the way. Keep in mind, however, that it is sometimes difficult to capture great photographs while traveling from a moving vehicle. There are several photo stops along the way where guests can take many photos. Also, remember that we are driving a trolley on a live street; we will slow down for photos at certain locations as long as we are not interfering with traffic. Is there a way to share my tour photos with other riders? Yes. ABQ Trolley Co. maintains a group pool on Flickr that shares photos of Albuquerque and photos taken from our Trolley. We strongly encourage you to share your tour photographs with us and with future riders. This is also a great site for riders who were unable to take photographs on the tour or who forgot their camera. Check it out here. Where is the best place to park in order to catch the tour? Old Town has many parking areas that charge a small fee. Check out the map of Old Town to see available parking (map will open as a PDF in new window). The 2-hour parking zones are free after 6pm during the week and always free on the weekends.

Is ABQ Trolley Co. locally owned and operated? Yes, proudly so. ABQ Trolley Co. was started by Jesse Herron and Michael M. Silva, Jr. in 2009. We affectionately refer to ourselves as "two guys and a Trolley!" We also promote local Albuquerque businesses on the tour as much as possible. To learn more about ABQ Trolley Co., check out our About Us section. Is food or drink allowed on the Trolley? Yes. Please be careful with your food and drink and be sure to clean up any mess after the tour is over. Is the Trolley wheelchair accessible? The Trolley does not have a wheelchair lift. However, we are able to accommodate riders who are able to get out of their wheelchair. We can store a wheelchair, walker or motorized scooter securely in Old Town. Is there air conditioning/heating on the Trolley? No. Our trolley is truly open-air. However, the favorable weather in Albuquerque affords us the ability to go without air conditioning or a heater. There will only be a few days each season where a light jacket is necessary. Check the local forecast here. Can I rent the Trolley for private events? Yes. Please refer to our group tours section. Are dogs/animals allowed on the Trolley? Yes. Smaller dogs/animals that are friendly are permitted on the Trolley. We pride ourselves in being an animal-friendly city tour company. What is the weather like? We are fortunate that Albuquerque has a very favorable climate with 310 days of sunshine! There are several months, however, where a light jacket may be necessary (April/September/October). To find out more about planning for our wonderful weather, click here. Does the Trolley operate in the rain? Yes. The Trolley operates in the rain. However, if there are flash flood warnings or other inclement weather that may be a hazard to our riders, we will not run. In light rain, the Trolley has drop-down rain curtains that shield our riders from the elements.
